  • Standard Coverage -- $150

The most economical option for relevant and concise feedback on a script's overall strength and marketability. ScriptBird's coverage reports are written in a traditional industry format, just the way an analyst would evaluate your script for a studio, production company or agency. Identify your script's potential weak points before somebody else does.
    Includes:

    • Logline
    • Recommendation to "Pass" or "Consider"
    • Ranking of concept, plot, character and dialogue on a reference chart
    • Synopsis (2 pages)
    • General Comments (2-3 pages)
    • Initial consultation by email and follow-up questions as needed

  • Basic Screenplay Analysis -- $200

This basic analysis of your screenplay is a great option if you're looking for a few pages of concise, supportive feedback. You will receive 3-4 pages of script notes -- we're honest, but not harsh. Helpful feedback will not simply evaluate the script, but also make suggestions for improvement in all areas.
    Includes:

    • General comments (1 page)
    • Comments on plot, character, pacing, dialogue and formatting
    • Suggestions for identifying and strengthening plot and character arcs, in order to maximize smoothness of overall narrative flow
    • Initial consultation by email and follow-up questions as needed

  • Screenplay Analysis -- $350

This is a thorough, in-depth analysis of your screenplay. You will receive a minimum 7-10 pages of specific story notes, addressing a wide variety of screenwriting elements. Rather than simply identifying problems, ScriptBird will evaluate your script with positivity and encouragement, focusing on overall improvement of the material. We place emphasis on character, plot structure and genre, with the belief that these are the most crucial aspects of a solid, satisfying story.
    Includes:

    • Broad overview of strengths and weaknesses, and assessment of overall commercial potential
    • Specific notes addressing issues including (but not limited to) concept, structure, plot, characters, dialogue, tone, theme, scene placement and genre
    • Suggestions for identifying and strengthening plot and character arcs, in order to maximize smoothness of overall narrative flow
    • Initial consultation by email and follow-up questions as needed

  • Flexible Payment -- $50 per hour

After multiple requests from clients, ScriptBird is now happy to offer script notes on an hourly basis. We work to your budget rather than the other way around, so whether you're looking for extensive story notes or just brief first impressions, this service can work for you. Perfect for those on a limited budget.

On checkout, simply select the number of hours you wish to be billed for. (Minimum 2 hours, to factor in time spent reading actual script.)

  • Teleplay Analysis -- $200

Writing for television is often murky territory. It's tough to track down script libraries dedicated to teleplays, or to find solid expertise readily at hand. ScriptBird will thoroughly evaluate your original half-hour comedy or one-hour dramatic pilot script. Spec scripts of existing shows are also welcomed.
    Includes:

    • Minimum 5 pages of general comments and specific notes
    • Evaluation of act, scene and structural formatting according to industry specifications
    • Initial consultation by phone or email, and follow-up questions as needed

  • Logline-- $30

Have you been writing and rewriting your logline so many times that you're not even sure if it makes sense anymore? The logline is the single most important marketing tool you possess for when it comes to selling a script. If you know your script is compelling but you worry that the log won't do it justice, let us help.

  • Synopsis -- $100

A synopsis can be an extremely effective tool in getting your script read. Professionals who don't have time to sit down and read a full-length script will often refer to the synopsis instead to decide if that script merits further interest. We provide a well-written, concise and intriguing synopsis that advertises the best aspects of your script--a brilliant line of dialogue, a standout character, or a compelling, unique concept.

  • Formatting & Proofing -- $300

It can't be stressed enough: improper formatting or sloppy errors raise an immediate red flag to the reader, suggesting that the writer isn't comfortable with the process of writing a screenplay. Fortunately, it's also the most easily avoidable mistake a writer can make. ScriptBird will format your script according to industry standards, and will check for spelling, grammar, syntax and consistency errors.

Scripts submitted for formatting must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word, Final Draft or Movie Magic Screenwriter.
